Fes foodie tour
Taste your way through Fez on this delicious foodie tour and cultural sightseeing.
This food tour in particular is a very special opportunity to dive deep in the heart of the Fessi Culture and discover local delicious special dishes as well as monuments such as Quaraween, Bab boujloud, Chouara Tannery, Bouaananiya school.... And many more.
We will star tour tour from your hotel or Riad at the requested time (10 am or 10:30) to begin exploring with your guide. The walk through the Medina will be the opportunity for you to taste a variety selection of breads (Baghrir, Mlaoui, Harcha... etc) as well as Moroccan dates and flavoured olives.
There will be a stop to taste the Moroccan sweets such as (Chabakiya, Filalia.), of course along with tasting you will get to know ingridients, spices, cooking techniques in case you want to try make something on your own.
The Lunch will consist with a local dish from your choice or recommended by the guide. The afternoon will consist of visiting monuments and marveling the architecture. You will visit Mosques including the Quaraouyine Mosque founded in 859 by Fatima El Fihria and the Andalusian Mosque dating back to 860 (Entry is not permitted to non-Muslims). You will visit Fountains including the Neijarine fountain, Medersas (Koranic schools) founded as early as the 13" century, Museums such as Batha Palace of arts and traditions, Then Chouwara Tannery which is a must stop (optional of course).
In general, this tour is combined with more than 7 taste stops that characterize our local kitchen and give you an idea of the culinary history of Fes with respect of your desire of tasting.
